On a drive or a patio the machine lifts the growth out of the joints and the surface is rinsed clean. Decking is washed with the grain at a lower pressure so the timber is cleaned, not furred.
Sealing is the optional last step and the one that makes the clean last. A sealed drive sheds water instead of holding it, so moss has nowhere to start, and the colour of the blocks stays up. We quote the clean and the seal separately so you can decide. Either way the price is fixed before we start, and you never pay in advance.

Step 2: Treat the growth

Step 3: Jet wash and rinse
The surface is pressure washed in passes and rinsed clean, with decking done at a lower pressure and with the grain.
Step 4: Seal, if you choose

How much does pressure washing cost?
It depends on the size of the area, what it is made of and how much growth there is. Send a photo of the drive or patio and Patrick will give you a fixed price, with sealing quoted separately. You pay once the job is done.
What should you not pressure wash?
Roofs, render, conservatory roofs and anything painted or loose. Pressure forces water under tiles and seals and strips paint. Those jobs are done with pure water and a brush instead, and sit on their own pages.
Is it worth sealing block paving?
If you want the clean to last, yes. A sealed surface sheds water, so moss and algae have nowhere to start, and the colour of the blocks stays up. We quote it separately so you can decide.
Do you clean decking?
Yes. Decking is washed with the grain at a lower pressure than a drive, so the moss and the grey come off without furring the timber.
